Hartley Voices is a collective of professional solo and ensemble operatic, musical theatre, and choral singers.

They have performed at many high-profile events, including the Royal wedding, and are regularly commissioned with the BBC for various shows. I was thrilled to be contacted by them to document a showcase performance they were putting on in London.

My brief was to capture the singers in performance for their professional profiles. With a packed theatre, I had to be careful not to obscure the audiences view or enjoyment of the show, which meant documenting from afar, and ensuring I wasn’t a distraction.

The performances were every bit as spectacular as I anticipated it would be, it is just a shame these images don’t come with sound.
