The Valley School is a secondary school for pupils aged 11-16 years old with Special Educational Needs (SEN). It is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
All of the pupils have learning difficulties with a large majority of pupils also having autism, and subsequent communication, or language needs.
In addition to the well-equipped classrooms, the school has a large amount of outdoor equipment, and sensory spaces.
The Valley school is home to lots of animals, such as chickens, snakes and two school dogs. The pupils are encouraged to take an active role in caring for and looking after the school pets.
I, however was less keen when it came to close up photography with a snake!
